Jon Gosselin has apparently taken on Rabbi Shmuley Boteach as his full-time spiritual adviser. The Rabbi is a TV host and author and in my view a little too interested in fame. Also on his resume is that he was Michael Jackson’s adviser, but well that didn’t work out so great. Anyway Jon is committing to regular study sessions and counseling with the Rabbi, and “apparently decided he needed to spend some time on his own.” I will give the Rabbi big credit for helping Jon come to that conclusion. If Jon had split with Kate with some dignity in the first place instead of trying to sleep with every bimbo that came his way fans probably would have seen him in a sympathetic light.

Bottom line for now is that Jon in the spirit of spending some time alone has broken up with his girlfriend Hailey Glassman. “They’re taking a break,” a source told Extra, adding that the split may not be permanent. Glassman, 22, recently claimed that Jon was emotionally abusive towards her constantly throws “mantrums,” but planned to stay the course and stay with him. Maybe Hailey might be better off with some alone time too.

Janet Weidenheimer, who was also known as Nana Janet on "Jon and Kate Plus 8," has passed away.

ET can confirm that Janet died on Oct. 28. Funeral services were scheduled to take place Saturday in Pennsylvania.

Janet voluntarily assisted the Gosselins with taking care of their eight children and appeared on the family’s TLC reality show a number of times.

Ryan Seacrest is opening up about how he’s doing following Friday’s arrest of his accused stalker.

"Thanks, I am fine," Seacrest wrote on his Twitter page, responding to someone who wanted to know if he was alright.

Yesterday, the "American Idol" host was granted a restraining against Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr., who is accused in the court papers of stalking, harassing and violently pursuing Seacrest for the past two months.

Craig Ferguson has given us all something a little disturbing to think about. According to him, when he gave a comedic address at the White House in 2008, Cheney had a little too much fun eyeing his wife’s goods, if you know what I mean.

Ferguson spoke about how the former Vice President kept staring at his wife’s breasts, sometimes openly goggling at them.

A few awesome quotes from his new book, American on Purpose, explain it all better than I could ever paraphrase. Such as when Mrs. Cheney was discussing art with Ferguson’s wife, telling her about the Picasso paintings she owned. When asked where she hung them, she said:

“Oh we don’t,” replied Mrs. C. They’re nudes, and we have grandchildren. We don’t want them to see them when they come over.”

“But they’re Picassos,” protested Megan.

“But they’re nudes,” smiled Mrs. Cheney dangerously.

We had been talking about Scotland; he had visited for a while when he was younger and expressed a sort of puzzled awe at the amount of drinking that was done there, hinting that he had taken part in a fairly major way. We talked a little about the dangers of booze.

The book sounds interesting, and certainly funny. I remember watching Craig Ferguson when he was on The Drew Carey Show, and I have loved him ever since.

If you are looking for something to put on the book list, American on Purpose might be a good choice.

Colin Farrell is a daddy again. Since being divorced from British actress, Amelia Warner in 2001 the 33-year old Dublin-born actor has had many close friends.  His current girlfriend, Polish actress Alicja Bachleda, 26, who costarred with Colin in the upcoming film Ondine, also teamed up with him for a new son Henry Tadeusz Farrell on Oct. 7 in Los Angeles.  Henry is the first child for Bachleda,  and the second for Farrell, who has a 6-year-old son, James, with model Kim Bordenave.

Farrell fell for Bachleda, soon after he split from British writer Emma Forrest after nearly a year together, when they filmed their new movie Ondine, which stars the actor as an Irish fisherman who falls in love with a mermaid played by the Polish actress.  Farrell only confirmed rumors of Bachleda’s pregnancy at the Toronto Film Festival in September.

ET has obtained the temporary restraining order granted to Ryan Seacrest on Friday against an accused stalker.

Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr., 25, has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Seacrest, who claims he doesn’t know Uzomah and has "no desire to have any contact with him."

In the papers, Seacrest accuses Uzomah of stalking, harassing and violently pursuing him for the past two months. The star claims that on Friday, Uzomah showed up at one of Seacrest’s workplaces carrying a knife, and police apprehended him and took him into custody.
